competitive requirements
Disclaimer: All competitive gymnasts are required to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations as stated below. These requirements have been established to ensure fair competition and the safety of all participants. No exceptions will be made under any circumstances. AGM reserves the right to remove any gymnast from the competitive program who do not comply with our program's requirements.
Program Duration AND TRAINING SCHEDULE
Our competitive session spans from September to June, aligning with the competitive gymnastics season. We require competitive gymnasts to participate in a minimum of 2 weeks of summer camp / training. It is expected that competitive athletes commit to the full program duration. This extended time frame allows ample opportunity for skill refinement, progression, and competitive preparation.
training Attendance
Attendance at a minimum of 90% of all scheduled classes is mandatory for all competitive gymnasts. Gymnasts are expected to arrive on time ready to train. Consistent attendance is paramount for individual improvement, fostering positive team dynamics, and ensuring safety during training sessions. Attendance will be taken each practice.
Competition Attendance
Competitive gymnasts are expected to attend all scheduled competitions, which primarily take place on Saturdays or Sundays, with occasional events on Thursdays or Fridays. Participation in competitions is mandatory to remain in the competitive program.
Attire
Competitive gymnasts are required to adhere to specific attire guidelines. During competitions, gymnasts must wear the official AGM competition leotard and the competition tracksuit. For regular training sessions, gymnasts are expected to wear a proper gymnastics leotard, with gymnastics shorts permitted if preferred. Additionally, all gymnasts must tie back their hair neatly before each practice session to promote safety and prevent hair from obstructing vision or getting caught in equipment.
ATTITUDE
It is imperative that all gymnasts and their parents exhibit respect and integrity at all times during both training sessions and competitions. Our aim is to foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere where everyone feels supported and empowered. We believe in promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity, and we expect all participants to contribute to this positive environment. Please refer to the parent's and gymnast's code of conduct.
non-compliance
AGM reserves the right to remove any gymnast from the competitive program who do not comply with our program's requirements.
